The Power of Why – Day 1 of “Sign Up 7 Students In 7 Days” Challenge

    Have you ever felt stuck?

Like you’ve exhausted all your options, resources, and maybe even a bit of your sanity, and yet, you still have little mouths to feed.

My name is Joy Anderson and I’ll be the first to raise my hand and offer a resounding YES!

My story might sound a lot like yours. I was a SAHM with two young children and a crippling amount of debt. I remember lying awake at night not knowing how I would make it through to the next month. We were up to our neck in bills without a lifeline in sight.

I tried everything. I meticulously budgeted every dollar that came in but it was never enough to cover all of our expenses. I cut back on the non-necessities but even with just the bare bones, we were struggling to stay afloat.

More than anything, I knew I wanted to stay home with my kids. I wanted to be present for their little lives. So then, I got creative. You’d find me at local consignment stores digging through the bargain bins for any name brand items I could find.

When I’d get home, I’d spend hours organizing, boxing, and listing the goods I’d found. And little by little money started to trickle in. But it was never enough. I was trading so much time for such little reward and as it turned out I really wasn’t being all that present for my children.

They would tug at me for play time and I would just respond that mommy needed to work. This was not the life I’d imagined for myself.

And then, I reached an even bigger breaking point. I was coming to the realization that my eight-year marriage was coming to an end. There was nothing to fall back on. No degree, savings, or network could save me.

I was going to have to find a way to provide for my family and I was going to have to do it fast

    Where Am I Now

That was quite the introduction, wasn’t it? I’m going to fast-forward a bit in my story because more than anything I want you to see how passionate I am about this subject. Starting a preschool changed the ENTIRE trajectory of my life.

Today, I’m a mom (of five), wife, teacher, and business owner of a multi-million dollar company with the freedom to travel and spend my days with my family.

I’ve built and grown a preschool that has multiple locations and has taught over 1,000 students.  Those scary and desperate moments I spent laying awake at night have turned into an opportunity to not only bless lives but enrich entire communities. For that, I am so grateful.

Since then, I’ve helped moms just like you do the same. I am so passionate about helping women out there start their own preschools because I’ve seen firsthand how it can transform the lives of so many.

If you’re looking for that next lifeline and resonate with that feeling of being stuck between a rock and a hard place then be sure to keep on reading. Today, I’m sharing my story and the first steps you’ll need to take to start your own preschool business.

    Discover Your Why

This is single-handedly the most important as well as the very first step you’ll take. I just want to reiterate that I am just like you. I was a SAHM for eight years before I realized I was deserving of MORE. I didn’t have the right degree or experience to back this business venture but what I did have was the motivation to not give up!

Without a doubt, I knew my family and I deserved to live in financial security and that I could be with them full-time as I sought it out.

I challenge you to get real with yourself. Be honest: are you happy with where your life is at this moment? Dig deep and discover what it is that you want. And be sure to keep an open mind because maybe starting a preschool business is just the ticket to the life you’ve been dreaming of!

    Getting To Work

As you think about your why, I’m going to tell you a little bit more about my story. For too long, I just sat on the sidelines of my own life. I was struggling but surely things couldn’t stay that way forever, right?

Well, turns out they can and they WILL unless we set out to make the change. For me, the dissolution of my marriage was the major catalyst to taking my life back.

I knew that as a single mother, my kids were relying on me to make sure we’d be okay. I refused to get a job and put my kids in daycare, and I didn’t want to start a daycare either. No, those weren’t options for me. I needed a third option… a better way that would allow me to create a consistent income while still staying home with my kids!

So without any direction, I prayed for guidance and I was blessed with a memory. It was a memory of the time I hosted a co-op preschool with some other moms in my neighborhood. I remembered loving those days and the love and energy that filled my home whenever it was my day to host.

And then I started to dream. What if I could start my own preschool, where I actually got PAID to teach. It would give me the time and flexibility to be with my children but also the financial freedom I was so desperately seeking.

I was brimming with excitement and set off to make this new vision my reality!

    When Reality Sets In

This is the moment that fueled why I’m here to help you today. For me, starting a preschool was a race against time. With quickly mounting credit card debt and a mortgage payment due in a month I needed to create an income…like yesterday.

And there was no handbook on how to get my new preschool business venture started. (Back then, everyone was trying to tell me to start a daycare!) It was an absolutely nail-biting month between getting my home ready, writing a curriculum, and enrolling students. But I did it!

And more than anything, I want to help make it happen for you. There is no better feeling than getting the calls from excited parents looking to enroll their children in your program. And then your bank account filling up with registration and tuition fees!

Preschool All Stars is all about helping you bridge the gap between dream and reality when it comes to starting your preschool business. And we’re starting with the 7 Students In 7 Days Challenge.

Yep, I’m going to help you get your first (or next) local or online preschool students regardless if you have a degree, experience, or a license… and I’m going to do it in just one week!
