Your Dream Preschool… TODAY – Day 4 of “Sign up 7 Students in 7 Days” Challenge

If I asked you to tell me what your dream preschool would look like, some of you could immediately paint a vivid picture of exactly what your preschool classroom would look like… once you got your perfect building… And some of you would still be struggling to make up your mind about whether it would be online or local… once you got enough money to start…

But I imagine all of you plan to start your dream preschool – SOMEDAY in the future – WHEN the time is right… So listen up, I’m about to show you that when you remove all your excuses… your dream preschool will turn into a reality!

Because… You know as well as I do that someday never comes. Waiting for perfect conditions leaves you in a holding pattern when you could be out there running a successful preschool.

My goal is to get you out of that waiting zone and into action, so tune in right now!

You Don’t Need to Quit Your Day Job

Before we envision your dream preschool, I’m going to let you in on a little secret. Contrary to what everyone else has said, you can start a preschool this month. Maybe even in a couple of days. The secret? You don’t need to quit your day job, you don’t need a location, and you don’t need a loan.

When you have your own business, you get to set your own hours. That means that if you have a job right now, you can run your classes outside of your job hours.

If you’re doing local classes, you might have to move somethings around, that’s true. But when it comes to an online preschool, you can be as flexible as you want. We are seeing so much success right now with women doing evening or weekend classes, while keeping their job, Monday to Friday.

Start slow, but start right now. Once you build up your preschool and see consistent income come in, you can go ahead and quit your day job!

    You Don’t Even Need a Fancy Location…

You know that I started my preschool out of my own home. I had no resources to go looking for a building, so I used what I had and made it work. We had the kitchen table for arts and crafts and snack time, and we had our living room that I used for storytime and circle time. And of course, we had our backyard for our outdoor playtime.

And you know what? The students and families just loved it. They loved it because it was warm, cozy, and a perfect transition from home to school.

I helped thousands of women start a preschool from their homes, and I know that’s the best place for you to start. So, if you’re still thinking you need to wait until you get a location, let me share some hard facts.

A location will cost you a pretty penny. You’re going to run into a lot of issues along the way that you’re just not familiar with. The process is not easy. There’s planning, zoning, city laws, renovations, permits. It’s not just about paying the rent. Did you know you get the triple net on almost every leased property?

Those are all the costs that cover your landlord, such as insurance, maintenance, taxes. So if the rent is 1000$ a month, you might end up paying as much as 1.800$!

My strong recommendation is to start from your home and build your way up.

And when it comes to starting from your home, that’s pretty simple. I know most HOAs, landlords, and city departments are fine with you hosting a preschool in your home. It’s no different than a daycare. In fact, your license will be for a daycare (there’s no license for preschools). But, you get to operate however you want, which means you can run a preschool from your house.

An online preschool is even easier! All you need is a cute wall behind you for preschoolers to have something fun to look at.

Now, there are some situations when you can’t use your home. There are ways around that. Maybe you can partner with a friend or a neighbor to rent their living room? Maybe your church has a space to rent? Just don’t go into big commercial areas!

And Lastly, You Definitely Don’t Need to Get a Loan

You might think: “Joy, but what about all the costs? Where will I get all that money?” The truth is, you don’t need that much capital to get going. Plus, I believe that your preschool should be profitable in month one, possibly even month two.

First off, for an online preschool, all you need is your laptop, the internet, and a cute wall behind you. You can get decorations at the Dollar Tree for $10. That’s simple enough.

And if you’re starting a local preschool, you can start with the materials that you already have. Your children’s toys, the kitchen table, your couch, the floor, use what you have. The parents want YOU. They want your personality and the professionalism you can bring to their preschool.

Plus, once you get going and collect registration and tuition fees, you can reinvest that money into the preschool and get more furniture, curriculum, activities.

And as long as we’re on the topic of fees, the registration fee is something you get to charge per child per year. It can be anywhere from 50$ to 100$. That’s the fee that saves the spot for the kiddo and can potentially cover your supplies.

So, there are really no excuses. Start with what you have and use all the resources Preschool All Stars can give you. Remember, the best thing about this business is that you get to grow with your preschool.
