Never Give Up When You Start a Preschool – with Anita Gerber

If you want to grow your preschool from your home into a preschool center, listen to today’s Preschool All Stars story: Anita Gerber was a public school teacher who went “all in” with her preschool! She gave up her teaching career so she could finally teach the way she knew kids learned best. Find out how she overcame all the trials that were placed in her way!

Anita’s Backstory and How She Found Joy

Anita Gerber was an elementary school teacher who really wanted to stay home with her kids but needed to also make an income. After babysitting a few kids for some extra money, she found herself being called by neighborhood moms to see if she had openings.

She realized that she could turn this into a real business and after finding Joy’s Preschool System, she was able to open up a successful preschool in her home. It was so successful that she decided, after attending Joy’s preschool summit, that she was going to expand her preschool into its own building.

What Happened When the Pandemic Hit and How Anita Adjusted

When Covid hit, Anita was right in the middle of opening her brand new preschool center. Preschool All Stars helped her transition seamlessly to an online platform for her classes, so she didn’t lose any of the business she had just procured.

Now, Anita has her own preschool building, and she has hired two teachers to run classes. She is able to be the owner/director, and she still teaches one class a week because she loves being in the classroom. She is able to be home to raise her kids, have her own business with her own hours, and still do what she loves.
