If you want to quit your teaching job and start a preschool, listen to today’s Preschool All Stars story: Karisa Day was a certified k-8 teacher who had a long commute and was burnt out with the demands of the district. After being moved to a new grade level the day before school started, she decided she needed to do something where she would be in control. Starting a preschool was the perfect solution for her. Listen in to discover how you can quit your teaching job and start a preschool, too!
Karisa Day was tired of her long commute, and even longer teaching day. She didn’t agree with a lot of the ways the school district wanted her to teach, and she wanted more control over her classroom.
After finding Joy’s program, she decided that this is the answer to her problems. She bought Preschool In A Box and resigned from her job shortly after. She started her preschool in a spare room in her house, and filled her classes quickly.
With the help of Joy and the Preschool All Stars, Karisa has found a group of ladies who are all in this together. She loves that everyone has their own set of expertise to add to the group. Being part of the Preschool All Stars gives her a chance to collaborate with others that she wouldn’t ordinarily have working by herself at home.
Karisa has taken control of her schedule and her classroom. She only has classes 4 days a week and gets to spend every Friday with her own kids. Her classes are full and she is now expanding her program to run Private kindergarten classes! She loves being able to bring in special guests to her school, and bring the kids on field trips to expand their learning and benefit her whole community.
