If you want to overcome your fears and step out of your comfort zone, listen to today’s Preschool All Stars story: Natalie Encarnacion has had a stable government job for over a decade. She has an entrepreneurial spirit, and has tried a few side businesses in the past that didn’t work out. She knew she wanted to return to the Early Childhood field, but just couldn’t get over her worries about leaving her stable Government job and starting her own business. Listen in to discover how you can overcome your fears, step out of your comfort zone, and build your own preschool, too!
Natalie has a degree in child psychology, and absolutely loves working with kids. But her career path ended up taking her down a totally different road, and she was ready to get back into the Early Childhood field. She was searching for a way to do this but just couldn’t get over the hump of leaving her Government job, with a stable income and benefits. She knew what would make her happy, but was too afraid to step out of her comfort zone to make her dream a reality.
After finding Joy on Facebook, she decided to explore the idea of opening a local preschool. Then covid hit, and she had to adapt. After facing her fear and anxiety of being on camera, she decided to open an online preschool. She then had the confidence to open her home to virtual learners, while also keeping her full-time job.
With the help of Joy and the Preschool All Stars, Natalie has been able to open a successful online preschool, and given her the confidence to step outside of her comfort zone. They made her realize that being comfortable is not where the most growth happens. Pushing yourself to try new things, even if they are scary, is where true success comes from.
Natalie now has plans to quit her government job and work on her preschool full time. She feels more comfortable and confident in front of her online kids and doesn’t shy away from the things that scare her anymore. She has realized that her fear of not being perfect was holding her back from what would make her truly happy. Now she faces those fears head on, and with the support of her family, Joy, and the Preschool All Stars, she is creating a future for herself that is not run by fear, but rather confidence and passion.
