After Covid hit, she was really searching for something new. When Joy’s Facebook ad popped up on her feed, she knew what she had to do. Denise Harris has taught kids of all ages in the public school district for over 20 years. She loves being an educator but always had dreams of branching out on her own. She didn’t want to start a daycare, but wasn’t quite sure what other route to go. Then she found Joy.
After finding Joy’s ad, Denise jumped right in. She became part of the Preschool All Stars, she got the Preschool In A Box, and told her husband that this was the next step. But it wasn’t until almost a year later that she took the leap of faith and actually joined the 7 day challenge to start her online preschool. She made it through the challenge and finally posted her Founding Families script. She was astonished that within an hour of posting her script, she had 6 kids signed up for her class!
With the help of Joy and the Preschool All Stars, Denise now has her own online preschool. She still teaches with the district, and runs her online classes on Saturdays. She loves all of the “Little nuggets” of information she is able to pick up from all of the ladies in the group, and how willing they are to share their knowledge.
Now that she is on a roll, Denise is planning to look for a space to open a local preschool. She plans to continue with her online classes and grow her program. Her plan is to quit her teaching job by next year to run her local and online preschool full time. She is so excited for her future and all of the exciting opportunities that lie ahead!
