Improve Your Preschool and Get Paid More – Follow Up with Randi Carroll

If you want to continue to improve your practices, listen to today’s Preschool All Stars story: Randi Carroll was just getting started with her online preschool when we talked to her last. Today she talks about how she is adapting her program to work for her and give her students an even better experience. Listen in to discover how you can continue to improve your program, too!

Randi Carroll dove right in and created an online preschool while still working her day job. After running it for almost a year, she is starting to realize that some things work and some things don’t. Now, as she tries to be the best teacher she can be, that sometimes means scaling back to really hone her craft.

Randi realized that, when it comes to preschool, it’s quality over quantity that she needs to focus on. That meant scaling back her class sizes so she can give each student the proper time to master the skills. She also added a Spanish component to her classes.

Joy and The Preschool All Stars have been there for Randi every step  of the way. The knowledge that they have shared with her have helped her improve her own teaching practices and given her ideas on how to improve her preschool program.

Self improvement comes with a lot of self reflection, and Randi says that asking for parent feedback is the best way to self reflect on her own practices. She has nothing to hide, so she asks the parents to come on after class and let her know of any struggles or ideas they have to improve the program. Self improvement also meant taking time for herself. She unplugs from social media and work things every weekend in order to focus on what matters most to her, her family.
