Start a Reggio Emilia Preschool – with Monique Reycasa

But after being let go from her director position because of Covid, she decided it was time to branch out on her own and create a program that was right for her.  Listen in to discover how you can create a Reggio Emilia preschool, too!

    Monique Reycasa has experienced almost every position in the early childhood field. She climbed the ladder until she was director of a center. She always wanted to open her own program, but didn’t think she would ever have the opportunity to do that. Getting let go from her position after covid turned out to be a blessing in disguise, as it was the final push she needed to branch out on her own and create her perfect preschool program.

    After reading Joy’s book, Monique realized that she could make her dream of having her own Early Childhood program a reality. She decided to focus on the Reggio Emilia approach and make that her niche. She wanted to create a child led, play based program that would change the lives of her students and their families.

    Joy and the Preschool All Stars, have motivated and helped Monique every step of the way. The women in the group are so knowledgeable and it is such a great sisterhood to be a part of. She is constantly inspired by what they are sharing and is so happy she found them.

    Monique is finishing up her Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education and will be teaching some ECE classes at her local college. She runs the business with her best friend and decided to take on infants to preschoolers. Her business partner takes the infants while Monique runs the preschoolers.
