She decided to resign, but her fears of the unknown were always there in the back of her mind. Until she found Joy and decided to start her own online preschool! Rebekah Collins found herself at home with her 4 kids after the pandemic hit. After resigning from her job as a Head Start teacher to help her own kids with distance learning, she didn’t know what the next step in her career would be. She tried online tutoring, but hated that she was putting in all this work as a tutor and giving away a large portion of the profits to a tutoring company. She wanted something where she would be in control of her hours, curriculum, and salary.
After finding Joy in a facebook ad, Rebekah ordered her book and devoured it. She was hesitant at first because she had never put herself out there like she was being asked to do now. It was scary for her to be vulnerable and jump into something new when had no guarantee of it working.
With the help of Joy and The Preschool AllStars, Rebekah was able to build an online preschool that works perfectly for her schedule and her family. She filled 6 spots in the first week, and is now almost ready to open up a second class, just a couple of months into her launch!
Rebekah loves that she can involve her preschool age daughter in her classes, and have the flexibility and time to spend with her other children. She is going to open up another class soon, and wants to eventually hire a teacher so she can just run the business full time. She loves the freedom this career has offered her and says to not let your own fears get in the way of doing what you want to do!
