If you want to create a social/emotion based preschool program, listen to today’s Preschool All Stars story: Last time we spoke with Cherice Ellison, she had just started her online preschool program, but had dreams of opening a local preschool. Today, Cherice has almost filled her first class in her in-home preschool! Cherice explains the importance of social/emotional learning in a preschool classroom, and why she decided to make that her focus. Listen in to discover how you can create a social/emotional focused preschool program, too!
Cherice Ellison had decades of experience in ECE. Her dream is to build her own local preschool center. She was starting small with an online program, because she had concerns about her fur baby around the preschool kids.
After attending Joy’s summit, Cherice decided to turn her “I Can’t” into “I can,” and started taking the steps she needed to open her in-home preschool. She now has almost filled her first class, and is still running her online class.
With the help of Joy and the Preschool All Stars, Cherice stopped making excuses and started making her dream come true. She now has the language, and the confidence to return to the vision of what she truly wanted.
Now Cherice is going to be working on upping her enrollment, while she also starts on her plans to expand to a bigger space. Her goal is to have a preschool center where she can have half day and full day classes, from 2 years old all the way up to kindergarten. She is excited to continue her journey and see where the next year will take her!
