Find What Your Community Needs and Create It – Follow up with Safaa Elamin

If you want to fill a need in your community, listen to today’s Preschool All Stars story: The last time we spoke, Safaa Elamin was working full time as a preschool teacher in a center, and teaching her new online preschool during her lunch break. Fast forward to today: she has quit her old job, hired 4 teachers, and is enjoying all of her free time! After having a hard time with preschool enrollment, she polled her community and expanded her program to offer exactly what they were looking for. Listen in to discover how you can find what your community needs and fill that gap, too!

Safaa had started her online preschool and was working towards quitting her job to make this her full time gig. But she was finding it hard to enroll preschoolers because many of their parents were wanting them to return to in person learning. She decided to reach out to her community and find out what they were needing, and this solved her enrollment problem right away.

The community was looking for islamic studies classes, so that is what Safaa provided! She adapted her program to offer what people needed at this time. By taking this simple step, she was able to fill enough classes to hire 4 teachers!

The Preschool All Stars is still Safaa’s favorite group. She gives advice, she gets advice, and she can get answers immediately to her questions. She loves the camaraderie and support the group offers.

Now that Safaa has hired her teachers, she only needs to teach one class a week. She looks back on where she was a year ago and can’t believe how far she has come! She now spends her days traveling and enjoying her free time. Her goal is to keep growing her online class and possibly even open a local preschool.
