She always had dreams of being a preschool teacher and owner, but ended up in childcare settings. After being laid off due to Covid, she realized this could be an opportunity to branch off on her own and make her dreams come true! Cherice Ellison knew she wanted to teach and own a preschool from when she was in 5th grade. She ended up in daycare centers and not really getting to teach. After getting laid off from her daycare director job, she was looking for her next opportunity and stumbled upon Joy.
After finding Joy, she joined the free group and did a 7 day challenge to start an online preschool. This was very different from what she was used to, and she had to step out of her comfort zone to teach on an online platform instead of in person. But she loves the freedom it offers her.
Cherice Joined the Preschool All Stars and they helped her realize that she can make her dream of teaching and owning a preschool a reality. Being able to bounce ideas off others and get support and inspiration from other ladies has been invaluable to her.
Cherice loves that she can build her program to be exactly what she wants it to be. She can set her own hours, and teach the way she wants. She wants to start adding more classes like Mommy and Me. Her future goal is to open her own local preschool center. She is so excited to be making her dream of owning a preschool a reality!
