(PAS) Find Your Purpose When You Start a Preschool – with Rebekah Golson

If you want to find your purpose when you’ve lost your way, listen to today’s Preschool All Stars story: preschool teacher Rebekah Golson felt lost after losing her mother. She knew there was more to life than she was living, but she didn’t know how to overcome the grief she was feeling. After driving 13 hours to attend one of our preschool summits, she finally found her purpose and began to heal as she started her own preschool.

Rebekah’s Background and Journey Through Her Grief

Before starting her preschool, Rebekah Golson had worked with kids for decades, but she was feeling unfulfilled and burned out in the school system. She was dealing with the grief that comes with losing a parent and having a hard time pulling herself out of the sadness.

She knew she wanted to work with kids; it was her passion and her calling, but she was feeling hopeless, stuck, and finding it harder and harder to get through the day.

Deciding to Join Preschool All Stars and Really Go for It

She had heard of Joy Anderson years ago, but she had never had the confidence to take the next step. After a 13-hour road trip to Joy’s preschool summit, she was convinced this was what she needed to do. With Joy’s encouragement and a lot of prayers, she decided to start her own online preschool.

Preschool All Stars helped Rebekah because she was able to get the answers she needed from women who had been on the same journey. She felt supported by the community and held accountable through the challenges, so she was able to keep pushing even when she felt stuck.

Now, Rebekah is starting to see life in a new light. She has pulled herself out of the dark place she was in and sees a bright future for herself as a preschool teacher. She has her first students signed up for her online class, and her next step is setting up her local preschool.
