Run Your Preschool Out of a Church – with Jennifer Neatherlin

If you want to run your preschool out of a church, listen to today’s Preschool All Stars story: Jennifer Nearherlin had taught in the TX school district for years. But once the pandemic hit and all of the new restrictions were put in place, she felt more like a prison warden than a teacher. That is when she decided to start her own preschool and run it out of her home church!  Listen in to discover how you can run a preschool out of a church, too!

Jennifer Nearherlin loved teaching, but once the new Covid restrictions were put in place, she just didn’t feel right about the way she had to teach. Sitting at their desks for 8 hours a day, not able to interact with each other, this was not the way children learn.

After finding Joy’s ad on Facebook, and getting a push from a friend, she decided to branch out on her own. Her church allowed her to use their portables rent free, so she took the opportunity to make a program that included everything she wanted to incorporate.

With the help of Joy and the Preschool All Stars, Jennifer is on her way to becoming a licensed facility. She already has 12 families signed up and hasn’t even opened yet! Completing the 30 day challenge gave her the push she needed to stop dragging her feet and start working on her dream!

Jennifer has lots of room to grow using the church’s many portables. Her preschool is a faith based program and she includes a lot of outdoor time and gardening. While she is still in the process of getting everything up and running, she is already set up for success with the Preschool in a Box, Preschool All Stars and the HUB!
