She didn’t know what she was going to do, but she knew she couldn’t continue with what she was doing. She hated Sundays because that meant the next day was Monday. She was struggling with the confidence to start her own business. Then she found Joy, and all of that changed. Stephanie Ramirez was teaching first grade in NYC, but was experiencing some serious burnout. She put in her resignation with the school district without really knowing her next step because she couldn’t take it anymore. Then she found Joy and decided to try one of her online preschool challenges. She hasn’t looked back since!
After reading Joy’s book, she knew that a preschool was a good option for her. Living in an apartment in NYC meant that online preschool was the way to go, and she finally worked up the courage to put herself out there. Once she did, the results were instant, and she signed up multiple students within days.
With the help of Joy and the Preschool All Stars, Stephanie was given the support and encouragement to make her dream come true. She felt safe to come to people with questions, and was given one on one help to set up her website and classes.
Stephanie has plans to expand her program and add more classes. Her program is a Spanish/English preschool and is taught in both languages. For now she wants to stay online and grow her virtual program, but if she moves out of state, she wants to open a local preschool as well. She is so glad that she didn’t listen to that voice in her head that said she couldn’t do it, because overcoming her fears and doubts has given her the opportunity to open her own business and run it the way she wants to. She no longer dreads her work day and is excited to teach her students every day.
