Teach Preschool with a Multi-Sensory Approach – with Susan Falotico

If you want to teach with a multi-sensory approach, listen to today’s Preschool All Stars story: Susan Falotico taught preschool in a private school for years, but then her daughter was born prematurely and she left work to take care of her. After Covid hit and she found herself back at home with her daughter distance learning, she was looking for something she could do online. After tutoring online through different companies, she realized that they were charging their students a lot, but not paying their teachers a lot. She realized she could start her own program and make the kind of money she deserved for her work.  Listen in to discover how you can teach with a multi sensory approach, too!

Susan Falotico was at a loss for what to do next. She had a background teaching preschool, but had been home with her daughter for years. She didn’t want to go into a daycare and expose her family to illness, so something online was a must. After getting burned on pay from some online tutoring companies, Susan realized she needed to work for herself if she wanted to make good money.

After saving one of Joy’s ads and forgetting about it, Susan finally circled back around to it and decided to give it a try. She read the book, joined The Preschool All Stars, and jumped in on the 30 day challenge. She opened a few weeks later with 7 students! She uses a multi sensory approach to teaching which helps children with disabilities and different learning styles be able to participate fully.

With the help of Joy and the Preschool All Stars, Susan has had all of her questions answered. The support and ideas from women in the group has made her a more creative person, and she is now brimming with ideas of new things to implement!

Now Susan tutors online in addition to her preschool classes. She is going to be starting classes at her local community center and is looking for a place to open a local preschool as well. She never thought she was business savvy enough to be an entrepreneur, but this journey has shown her that she is capable of anything she puts her mind to!
